If you are a consumer of Merri Outreach Support Service there are several ways you can become involved and assist the service to provide the best support possible to people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.
Consumer Reference Group
Merri Outreach Support Service has established a consumer reference group to assist the agency to work together with people who use the service to continually improve the support we provide.
The reference group assists Merri Outreach Support Service to:
- Make better decisions by accessing the knowledge and skills that consumers can offer.
- Build stronger links between the service and consumers.
- Receive feedback and input on agency protocols, policies and procedures.
- Gain the assistance of consumers in our recruitment processes.
- Evaluate support programs from a consumer perspective.
- Explore a range of ideas that could assist the service to better utilise consumers skills including research and community development activities.
- Provide opportunities for consumers to improve their knowledge and skills in a range of areas.

Commitee of Management
Merri Outreach Support Service is managed by a group of interested community members who form our Committee of Management. The Committee of Management oversees the strategic direction of Merri Outreach Support Service and meets once per month on a Wednesday evening. The Committee has a number of positions available to consumers and the service places a high value on consumer input. Merri Outreach Support Service Activities
Merri Outreach Support Service holds several activities each year for the whole agency including a Christmas party and School Holiday activities. All people using Merri Outreach Support Service are welcome and we appreciate your participation and feedback at these events. Information on activities are provided to everyone prior to the events.

Donations
Merri Outreach Support Service holds a Deductible Gift Registry status with the Australian Taxation Department, allowing the service to receive and accept donations from individuals and organisations that are tax deductible.
Your donation could be used in a number of ways to assist Merri Outreach Support Service to provide a better service to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
